Samantha Ames, Dental Assistant

I have worked in the dental field for sixteen years, the last thirteen with Dr. Randy at Midcoast Family Dentistry. The midcoast region has been home, most of my life. I have always been fascinated with dentistry, especially extractions and surgeries, so working in a dental office seemed a natural fit for me. One of the best parts of my job is the continual change, each patient brings something special. Dentistry has come a long  way and I am proud to be part of a fantastic team.

I hold my radiology license in the State of Maine. I have attended pain management courses, allowing me to better understand and assist our migraine suffering patients. I like dental courses because techniques and technology are always changing. When I’m not working, I prefer being outdoors; camping, hiking, kayaking, and am currently learning to ski and having a lot of fun. I also love spending time with my daughter, family and friends. I look forward to meeting you at MidCoast Family Dentistry.

Tasha Seavey, Dental Assistant

I have lived in Maine my entire life surrounded and supported by my large family. I graduated from University of New England in May of 2016 receiving my undergraduate degree in Medical Biology. My plan is to go on to dental school in the near future and come back to serve the Midcoast Maine area.

I absolutely love working in this practice because of our friendly and fast paced environment. I enjoy working with my hands and learning new ideas and techniques daily. The most fulfilling part of my job is not only seeing the smiles of patients, but the smiles of my co workers after a rewarding day. From working here every day, I have learned many new procedures and techniques, my favorites being; extractions and working in the lab.

I chose the dental field when I was only 5 years old and never strayed from that path! As a kid, I enjoyed trips to the dentist and learning the different tools my dentist used. Now, as an adult, I enjoy learning all the other aspects and facets of the dental field in my day to day job! I look forward to learn what Dr. Randy and Dr. Sarah perform every day down to the most minute details.

In my down time, I love hiking, running, crocheting, watching Clint Eastwood movies, playing tennis and relaxing with my furry friends (cats).

Taylor Wilson, Dental Assistant

I was born in Connecticut and lived there until I was 12, when I moved to Maine. I immediately fell in love with the natural beauty of the area and I knew I wanted Maine to be my home.

As a child, I had a dental team who always made sure I was comfortable and smiling. Later in life, I learned that not everyone was as fortunate to have such positive experiences at the dentist. Once I graduated from high school, I started my career as a dental assistant and at last found my home at MidCoast Family Dentistry. It is here that I make every effort with my patients, to carry on the same care that I was given, and to calm the anxiety that comes from being at the dentist.

When I am not at the office, you can find me skiing down the mountain with my boyfriend or playing my favorite video games. In the summer, I enjoy hiking and exploring all the beautiful sites the world has to offer. I also take pleasure in drawing and baking.

I look forward to seeing your smile.
